Education and Career Development

Money Matters: Program for members 13-17 that promotes financial responsibility and prepares members for their financial independence. Money matters encourages members to learn how to pay for their college education and open and maintain a checking and savings account.

Books & Basketball (with Mateen Cleaves): This program is designed to engage youth ages 7-15 in reading through a combination of special rewards, opportunity to spend time with Mateen Cleaves and utilization of specific books geared toward encouraging non-readers.

Health and Life Skills
- S.M.A.R.T. Moves: SMART (Skills Mastery and Resistence Training) is a national program that educates members on how to resist alcohol, tobacco, drug use, and premature sexual activity. The program teaches members these skills through small group exercises which encourage self-esteem, peer support and leadership.
Sports, Fitness and Recreation
- Barry Stokes Youth Football: 8-11 year old members participate in a youth tackle football league Saturdays September to October at Davison High School.
