Frequently Asked Questions

Please call us at (810) 249-3413 with any unanswered questions. We would be happy to help you!

I'm 7 years old and my brother is 17. Can we both come to the Club?
Yes! The Boys & Girls Club of Greater Flint serves youth between the ages of 7 and 17, after school, on Saturdays and in the summer.

How much does it cost to join?
There is a $10 per year fee to join the Club.

Is it really only $10?
Yes. The only extra charges that may come are those related to some optional field trip activities. $10 per year allows you to join the Club, take advantage of all programs offered during normal operating hours and even eat meals!

Can I do my homework at the Club?
Yes! Monday through Friday after school the Club offers Power Hour! It's a chance for anyone who has homework to not only work on it but also receive help from Boys & Girls Club adult staff and volunteers. Club staff communicate closely with several local schools to have the most up-to-date information on student curriculum.

When can I come? Do I have to stay the whole time?
The Club is open Monday through Friday from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM during the school year and Monday through Friday 12 to 5pm during the summer. Members are welcome to come as often as the like and are not required to attend every day or even for the entire time.

Do I have to bring a lunch?
During the after school program the Club offers a free supper for Club members and lunch and snack during the summer program. Club members are also welcome to bring additional items for meals if they so choose.

Where are you located?
3701 N. Averill Ave., Flint, MI 48506 (just south of Richfield Rd. between Richfield and Davison Rd.)

Are there any limits other than age to become a member?
No. As long as you are between the ages of 7 and 17 you are welcome to join as a member of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Flint.

What if I'm not sure if I'll like it?
During the after school program, the Club allows guests to come up to three times to experience the club before they are required to become a member.
